# Best Kids Disc Golf Sets Source: https://discgolfnest.com/best/best-kids-disc-golf-sets Updated: 2026-10-20 Publisher: Disc Golf Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://discgolfnest.com/how-we-research#our-score Kids need lighter discs than adults, and that single factor decides whether a round is fun or a series of short, frustrating throws. Discs in the 130 to 160 gram range fly far enough for small arms, and shallow rims let short fingers get a real grip. Some sets add soft or rubbery plastic that hurts less on a mis-catch and bounces off trees instead of chipping on every errant shot. We compared weight ranges, rim depth, plastic softness and how bright the colors are, because lost discs end rounds early. Ultralight sets suit under-eights and anyone who tires quickly. Mid-weight sets suit tweens with real throwing power who will outgrow featherweight discs in a season. Bright colors and a blank area for writing a phone number are worth more than they sound, since a lost disc is what usually ends a kid's enthusiasm for the sport. ## Picks ### 1.
