Discraft's Pro D Drone at 164-166 grams, a cheap overstable disc that plays more like a utility mid than a driver.

What we liked
- + Drone's beefy, overstable flight is handy for predictable fading upshots
- + 164-166 grams is a comfortable weight for controlled approach work
- + Pro D plastic is inexpensive and grips well for forehand utility shots
Trade-offs
- - Slow, mid-style disc adds little distance compared with true drivers
- - Blunt overstable fade limits its use on straight or turnover lines
