What we liked
- + Slim, flat profile is called out in the listing as suited to forehand throws, headwinds and power throws
- + Glide 5 with fade 2 gives a longer, straighter flight than the hard-fading molds, with a strong fade only at lower speeds
- + Alpha plastic is described as firm, durable and slow to beat in, so the disc should keep its original flight ratings longer
Trade-offs
- - Lone Star Disc is a smaller brand than Innova or Discraft, so the mold is less widely known and harder to compare
- - Alpha is described as having a slick feel and the fade of 2 is mild, so it is not the pick for wet days or the most overstable slot
